CategoryDifficultyBeginner

This recipe utilizes chicken, which is a good source of protein, and plenty of vegetables to produce a flavorful mix. Green beans aid your dog feel full and veggies provide vitamins and minerals.

Prep Time15 minsCook Time15 minsTotal Time30 mins
 4 chicken breasts
 ½ cup green beans, chopped
 ½ cup carrots, chopped
 ½ cup broccoli, chopped
 ½ cup rolled oats
 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
1

Gather your ingredients!

2

Trim the excess fat off the chicken breasts and then cut them into small pieces.

3

Wash your green beans, carrots, and broccoli. Chop 1/2 cup worth of each vegetable; set aside.

4

Measure out your chicken broth and rolled oats. Set aside with your other ingredients.

5

Cook the chicken breasts in a non-stick deep saute pan (4 quart) over medium-high heat until no longer pink. Alternatively, cook in any regular non-stick pan if you don't mind doing extra dishes!

6

Add the green beans, carrot, broccoli, oats, and chicken broth to the saute pan and cover with a lid. Cook over medium-high heat for about 15 minutes. If you don't have a deep saute pan, then add all the ingredients including the chicken to a large soup pot.

7

It's done once the chicken is fully cooked through and your veggies are soft.

8

Allow the mixture to cool before serving. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to five days.
