Turkey and Veggie Dinner
This basic dog food recipe incorporates turkey for protein and veggies for added vitamins and minerals.
Gather your ingredients!
Rinse your rice and set aside.
Wash and slice your carrots, then set aside.
Wash and chop your green beans. Set aside.
Cook the ground turkey in a non-stick deep saute pan (4 quart) over medium heat until meat is cooked through. Alternatively, cook in any regular non-stick pan if you don't mind doing extra dishes!
Add the brown rice and water to the deep saute pan. Bring water to boil. If you don't have a deep saute pan, then move the turkey into a large soup pot and add the brown rice and water to it.
Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook an additional 15 minutes, or until the rice is soft and tender.
Add the carrots and green beans, cover, and cook for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, until the vegetables are tender.
You'll know it's done when the carrots and green beans are soft!
Allow to cool before serving. Store leftovers in fridge for up to 5 days.
Serve!
